Our past boxers - memory lane
Here you will find the more influential boxers to our lines that we had in the past that have since passed over the Rainbow Bridge. We wanted to make a page just for you so you could see who is in the pedigrees of you're baby. We will only have boxers that were part of our family here at Boxkarr Boxers. Enjoy learning and seeing who contributed to your baby's lineage.
Boxkarr's Hana Banana - "hana"
Everyone loved Hana's sweet, mellow personality. She was just pure love and always wanted to be in someones lap just to be touching them. Angelina is her daughter and is still here with us today. Hana also was our surrogate goat mamma for our goat herd. Hana passed away due to breast cancer at the age of 11 almost 12. We helped her cross the rainbow bridge with euthanasia when she let us know she was ready. We miss her sweetness and those puppy dog eye.
Boxkarr's Millie Misfit - "Silly Millie"
Millie.... well, she was the jester of all our boxers. She was something very special. Millie was very voicetrous and scared a lot of people because of this, even though she was harmless. Her antics kept us laughing. She had a special kind of love, but never cared for cuddling. She was the inventor of Millie time, as when we called her to come sometimes it was fast, but other times slow like molasses flowing up hill on a cold winter day. She passed away on her own in our home at the age of 12 going on 13. We will always miss her silly smile and that crooked lip. We are so blessed that God gave Tilly a little bit of her quarky personality; even though neither are blood related.
Araon Del Faccia Bella - "Jake"
Oh, our sweet boy Jakey. He was our first 100% euro boxer and why we fell so in love with the euro. We miss his big goofy personality so much! There was nothing he loved (besides us) more then his ball. He was absolutely stunning. We were so blessed to have him in our lives. Unfortunately, his life was cut short due to a visitor we had at the house who left their liquid nicotine for an e-cigarette out. It was sweet smelling and tasting, and Jake ate it. It caused severe brain damage and we had to help him cross the rainbow bridge the day before his year anniversary of the accidental ingestion. It was so hard to accept and we still mourn his passing away. I don't think we will ever get over saying good bye to him. Nicotine is now banned on our property.
Jackson's Kajun Ace - "Ace"
Ace had a pretty kick back personality and generally was a very good boy. We loved him, but knew we had to place him. We did get 2 litters from him, but were not happy with how long his nose was. What determined us placing him was, he was a chicken/bird killer. Being that we live on a farm, it was a deal breaker. Turns out our closest friends had formed a bond with Ace. Over about 1 year, we transition him from our home and into theirs. He was first neutered and lived out a very long, happy life with them!
Boxkarr's Kajun Hurricane - "Thor or Caine" or "Thoracane"
I am posting Thor here because he was very influential for us and the direction I wanted our breeding program to go. Thor never had the opportunity to produce pups. We opted to have him neutered due to major health issues. He had very bad demodex as a puppy and he had hip dysplasia. We paid a pretty substantial amount of money for him. The breeder denied any wrong doing and had several litters with the same breeding even with all the problems Thor had. We vowed NEVER to do this to anyone. We only want to pass on healthy puppies.
Boxkarr's Angelina - "Angie"
Angie was the daughter of Hana and Jake. She had a mischievous personality to start with, but once matured, she settled down and developed her momma's super laid back, mellow personality, but yet still loves to play. She sure did give us a run for our money as a pup! Even as a senior, she always ran, played and kept up with the whippersnappers if there was a ball involved.
Angie only produced 1 litter of puppies for us. We had taken a break from breeding for a few years. She had her litter late in life (at about 6 years old) and decided that was the only litter she wanted. We agreed with her, due to her age, that was the best for her. We LOVED the litter so much that she produced, so we kept Tilly from that litter. We do wish that we could have gotten at least 1 more litter, but the health Well being of our dogs comes first before our wants and desires. So, we retired Angie from breeding at that point. She loved just being a lazy couch pup that was an amazingly spoiled rotten daddy's girl.
